Local Schools with AS specialism

Hoyland Springwood Primary (01226 743815) and Royston High Secondary (01226 722515) are appropriate for autistic spectrum children who are capable of accessing mainstream education but need some specialist teacher input.

Barnsley has one special school, Greenacre (01226 287165) for children with severe difficulties.

Also, the National Autistic Society run the Robert Odgen School (01709 874443) which provides a day service for children on the autistic spectrum. It uses the SPELL framework for teaching. More details via www.nas.org.uk. Back to top
